For this collaboration, the directors and I really wanted to be bold with the style and the band Darling Street gave us creative freedom to do exactly that.

We chose a contrasty, black & white noir look for this, with extreme frame rate changes throughout the piece, expressing our main character's emotional journey. From super slow-motion frame rates of 200 all the way down to 4 FPS and slower shutter speeds to achieve that 'ghostly' look at the end.

We used two cameras - ARRI Amira for interior scenes and the BlackMagic Pocket Cinema 4K for the more kinetic, exterior ones, with a variety of lenses such as Zeiss Milvus and Zeiss Compact XD Primes, even some vintage glass (Helios 44-2) for the idylic flashback scenes.
